Abstract

Steel Fabrication PT. Swadaya Graha has two workshops, namely workshops 1 and workshops 2 which are used as work fields to carry out services and services in making certain parts in accordance with the wishes and requests of project clients from domestic and overseas. But there are obstacles, namely the warehouse owned. This is because the existing warehouse is relatively small, only has an area of 240m2, so that the impact of the large steel material that is large is stored outside the warehouse or open storage. Open storage can damage and reduce the quality of steel material due to air and weather factors. In order to minimize the impact that occurs, risk mitigation efforts are needed. Therefore, there is a need to identify and assess the risk of material storage using the open storage method. In this research, the method of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) will be used by taking severity level data, occurance and detection of the problems that are then obtained by the Risk Priority Number (RPN) and calculated by the average RPN. In this study the average RPN value was 149.3. The results obtained from this study are 7 risks with 3 risks which are critical risks, namely missing material with RPN 351.12, material corrosion or rusting with RPN 217.9 and material scattered with RPN 167.4 and 4 non-critical risks namely material inappropriate use according to the project with 93.06 RPN, Decrease resale price with RPN 89.1, material experiencing defects with RPN 66.99, and material not recorded with RPN 60.48. After obtaining the highest critical risk, namely the missing material, a risk mitigation recommendation is made to minimize the risk in the steel fabrication warehouse of PT. Swadaya Graha.
