Abstract

Sub-sektor Pertambangan Batu Bara tahun 2019-2020 mengalami penurunan harga acuan jual batu bara yang cukup signifikan sehingga dapat menyebabkan penurunan dalam kelangsungan perusahaan atau mengalami financial distress perusahaan. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi tingkat financial distress perusahaan Sub-sektor Pertambangan Batu Bara yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2019-2020 dengan menggunakan metode Altman Z-Score dan Springate yang nantinya dapat diketahui perusahaan sub-sektor pertambangan batu bara akan mengalami distress / non distress. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif serta pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel berjumlah 22 perusahaan dengan 44 data sampel dari populasi Sub-sektor Pertambangan Batu Bara sebanyak 25 perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI. Prediksi financial distress Altman Z-score & Springate S-Score ini mampu memberikan early warning system pada perusahaan pertambangan sub-sektor batu bara dari tahun 2019 hingga tahun 2020, dengan hasil 7 perusahaan mengalami kesulitan keuangan pada metode Altman & 11 perusahaan mengalami kesulitan keuangan pada metode Springate.
