Abstract

Unit produksi merupakan bagian terpenting dari sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur. Proses produksi yang lancar membutuhkan dukungan mesin dan peralatan yang baik. UD. JHS merupakan usaha yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur. Usaha ini menghasilkan produk berupa produk rumah tangga berbahan plastik (polimer), salah satunya adalah gantungan baju. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas kinerja mesin injection molding di UD. JHS guna meminimalkan six big losses dengan memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas kinerja mesin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectivenes (OEE). Dalam perhitungannya, OEE mengukur efektivitas menggunakan tiga komponen untuk mengidentifikasi enam kerugian besar (Six Big Losses), yaitu availability, performance dan quality. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan didapatkan rata-rata nilai OEE selama 5 minggu pengamatan sebesar 66,64% yang berada pada range 60% - 84%. Nilai tersebut masih tergolong wajar dan memungkinkan untuk dilakukan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas mesin injection molding di UD. JHS. Range Sedangkan untuk nilai six big losses tertinggi yaitu reduce speed losses dengan nilai rata-rata 16,56%. Hal tersebut perlu dilakukan pengendalian agar efektivitas mesin injection molding di UD. JHS meningkat. Adapun rekomendasi perbaikan yang bisa diterapkan di UD. JHS, antara lain perlu adanya pemeriksaan dan pembersihan mesin sebelum setiap shift harian dimulai, perlu dilakukan penjadwalan perbaikan rutin mesin agar performa mesin berjalan optimal, serta operator mesin perlu memahami setting mesin untuk mengurangi waktu operasional yang terbuang.
