Abstract

Inventory is material storage in the form of raw materials, work in process and finished goods and inventory control is the activity of maintaining the amount of inventory at the desired level. PT Adhi Karya (PERSERO) Tbk. experienced delays in the supply of materials, namely cement, sand, concrete, and gabions which have not found the right method to determine the inventory of raw materials so that it has a significant impact on material delays in the project. This causes the project development time to be longer, even though the condition of the project is estimated to be almost complete by the end of the year. Of course, this project requires a method that can control the inventory of raw materials more optimally. PT Adhi Karya (PERSERO) Tbk is able to provide the right method to provide a minimum total cost. This study aims to determine the optimum amount of building material inventory without causing a large inventory cost so as to minimize the total inventory cost. The research method used is Economic Order Quantity, Lot For Lot, Fixed Period Requirement at PT Adhi Karya (PERSERO) Tbk. The results obtained are to provide the minimum total inventory cost compared to the inventory control method based on project planning. This method is more efficient than the inventory control method based on project planning.
