Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui mekanisme dan hambatan yang dilakukan oleh Lembaga Amil Zakat Infaq dan Shadaqah Muhammadiyah (Lazismu) Gresik dalam mengelola Zakat Profesi. Adapun Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme pengelolaan Zakat Profesi yang ada di Lembaga Amil Zakat Infaq dan Shadaqah Muhammadiyah (Lazismu) Gresik meliputi: pengumpulan, pendistribusian dan pengawasan. Sumber pengumpulan dana Zakat Profesi di Lembaga Amil Zakat Infaq dan Shadaqah Muhammadiyah (Lazismu) Gresik berasal dari donatur tetap dan donatur insidentil. Untuk donatur tetap pengumpulan Zakat Profesinya dilaksanakan rutin setiap bulan sedangkan donatur insidentil pengumpulan Zakat Profesinya setiap bulan atau setiap tahun sekali. Pendistribusian Zakat Profesi ada 2 bentuk yaitu konsumtif dan produktif. Alur pendistribusian Zakat Profesi meliputi pengajuan dan survei, Rapat persetujuan mustahik, pengangaran dan pendistribusian. Bentuk pengawasan Zakat Profesi meliputi pengawasan di bidang internal yang dilakukan oleh badan pengawas dan di bidang eksternal meliputi kantor akuntan publik. Sedangkan untuk hambatannya meliputi: kurangnya Sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam mendistribusikan zakat profesi kepada mustahik.
