Abstract

This research intends to develop a recommendation proposal for selecting an ERP system for the PT. XYZ company based on Critical Decision. Enterprises today rely heavily on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline their business operations, enhance productivity, and better serve their customers. However, the selection of an appropriate ERP system can be a daunting task, fraught with significant risks and costs. Choosing the wrong ERP system or implementation partner can lead to implementation failures and undermine the anticipated benefits of the system. This paper aims to address the critical decision-making process involved in the pre-implementation stage of ERP selection in a company that offers metalworking, machinery and construction equipment services in Indonesia. We begin by synthesizing theoretical findings from the literature on the ERP selection problem and combine them with practical recommendations from industry experts to identify the key decisions that need to be made during this stage. We then present a methodology for determining ERP selection criteria based on critical decision analysis.
