Abstract

Penelitian ini membandingkan metode Vector Autoregressive dan Long‎ Short‎ Term‎ Memory untuk prediksi cuaca harian di Kota Surabaya, menggunakan data temperatur udara, curah‎ hujan, lama‎ penyinaran‎ matahari, kelembapan, dan kecepatan angin dari Stasiun Meteorologi Maritim Perak II. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa metode Long‎ Short‎ Term‎ Memory memiliki performa lebih baik pada beberapa variabel dan horizon waktu. Pada variabel temperatur‎‎ maksimum horizon 30 hari, metode Long‎ Short‎ Term‎ Memory mencatat nilai Root‎ Mean‎ Square‎ Error 1.3287 lebih rendah dibanding metode Vector Autoregressive 1.4389. Untuk variabel curah‎ hujan, metode Long‎ Short‎ Term‎ Memory menghasilkan nilai Root‎ Mean‎ Square‎ Error 8.1817 dibanding dengan metode Vector Autoregressive 8.7563. kemudian variabel lama‎ penyinaran‎ matahari juga lebih baik pada metode Long‎ Short‎ Term‎ Memory dengan nilai Root‎ Mean‎ Square‎ Error 24.2376 dibanding dengan metode Vector Autoregressive 24.6491. Sementara itu, variabel temperatur‎ rata-rata horizon 7 hari menunjukkan hasil sebanding dengan nilai Root‎ Mean‎ Square‎ Error metode Long‎ Short‎ Term‎ Memory 0.9555 dan metode Vector Autoregressive 0.9371. Secara umum, metode Long‎ Short‎ Term‎ Memory menunjukkan kemampuan generalisasi yang lebih baik dan cocok untuk menangani data cuaca yang bersifat dinamis.
