Abstract

Distributor Telur Kediri merupakan perusahaan yang mendistribusikan produk telur ke agen yang ada di Jakarta dan Bogor. Dalam proses distribusi, perusahaan telah memperhatikan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan akan tetapi pada saat proses pendistribusian masih terjadinya produk cacat yang melebihi standar yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas agar dapat tetap bersaing dan meningkatkan kepuasan agen, salah satunya menggunakan metode Lean Six Sigmayang berfungsi untuk meminimumkan jumlah defect yang terjadi. Alur kegiatan proses distribusi dimulai dari pengambilan telur, penyortiran/pengolahan, memindahkan telur ke gudang, memasukkan telur kedalam truk, dikirim ke agen. Terdapat proses distribusi yang menyebabkan terjadinya defect yaitu pada saat penataan telur di dalam truk ada yang tidak sesuai dengan letaknya sehingga miring dan mengakibatkan telurnya pecah.Peneliatian ini dibatasi hanya sebatas pada permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan proses distribusi telur. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab terjadinya defect dan memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan. Hasil pengukuran kinerja menggunakan tingkat sigma diperoleh DPMO rata-rata 25404,538 menyebabkan nilai konverensi sigmanya rata-rata 3,45 yang merupakan petunjuk jumlah variansi atau ketidaktepatan suatu proses dengan masuk kategori 25-40% dari penjualan. Kemudian dilakukan analisis dengan fishbone diagram yang didapatkan penyebab terjadinya defect yang di identifikasi yaitu telur retak. Diperoleh saran perbaikan yang diajukan yaitu menerapkan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk meminimasi defect, penerapan SOP dengan lebih baik untuk meminimalkan defect.
