Abstract

Di dalam industri yang baik dan berkembang pesat tentunya juga banyak mengalami permasalahan. Banyak faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan suatu industri, diantaranya pada bagian pergudangan (warehouse). PT. XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang distributor lampu dan alat listrik yang memiliki 4 gudang dan masing - masing gudang tersebut memiliki fungsi sendiri - sendiri. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh PT. XYZ yaitu terjadi di dalam gudang A tempat penyimpanan stok produk Lampu. Seringkali terjadi overload, hal ini disebabkan gudang tidak mampu lagi menampung produk karena gudang tidak lagi memadai dan tidak adanya aturan tentang pengambilan barang dan penataan barang. Guna mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan gudang penyimpanan di PT. XYZ maka perlu dilakukan perancangan terhadap tata letak. Adapun metode yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Dedicated Storage. Metode dedicated storage. Dalam melakukan perbaikan tata letak dengan metode dedicated storage pada PT. XYZ yang memiliki 15 produk membutuhkan ruang sebanyak 15 blok, dimana masing-masing produk membutuhkan 1 blok. Masing-masing produk memiliki total aktivitas untuk 15 Produk sebesar 51 aktivitas Masing-masing produk memiliki aktivitas/blok sendiri tiap produk, dengan urutan aktivitas/blok terbanyak pertama adalah Pioline 10 Watt dan urutan aktivitas/blok terkecil adalah Pioline 30 Watt. Layout kondisi awal memiliki jarak tempuh total untuk pemindahan produk sebesar 1556,5. Layout usulan 1 dan layout usulan 2 memiliki jarak tempuh total untuk pemindahan produk masing-masing sebesar 655,5 dan 741,5. Persentase penurunan jarak masing-masing usulan terhadap kondisi awal sebesar 57,89% dan 52,36%.
