Abstract

PT. Pertamina EP Asset 4 Sukowati Field merupakan perusahaan BUMN yang aktif dalam memproduksi crude oil dan gas sebagai produk utama. Proses produksi crude oil ini melalui beberapa tahapan proses, yaitu dengan pemisahan dengan menggunakan separator dan selanjutnya dilakukan pemisahan zat yang tidak diinginkan yaitu H2S dengan menggunakan alat stripper. Hasil minyak yang keluar dari separator memiliki temperatur 165 oC, sedangkan temperatur yang ada di alat stripper itu berkisar 100oC. Perbedaan temperatur pada alat stripper akan mengakibatkan regangan yang timbul pada suatu material. Peristiwa tersebut dapat disebut dengan tegangan thermal atau thermal stress. Tegangan thermal adalah tegangan yang terjadi akibat adanya perbedaan temperatur pada suatu material, dimana besarnya setara dengan regangan yang timbul pada suatu material yang memuai. Suatu material yang dikenai perbedaan temperatur yang berbeda akan mempengaruhi daya tahan dari material stripper tersebut. Penelitian ini akan membahas mengenai tegangan thermal yang terjadi pada alat stripper. Hasil yang telah didapat yaitu jenis material yang paling optimal digunakan yaitu pada material SS 430 hal ini dapat dilihat dari yield strength nya yang lebih kecil dari tegangan von misses. Setelah melakukan simulasi mendapatkan simulasi desain stripper yang paling optimal adalah stripper dengan 15 plate.
