Abstract

Udang beku merupakan salah satu jenis hasil perikanan yang dibutuhkan untuk dikonsumsi masyarakat global. Jumlah permintaan ekspor udang beku setiap tahun bertambah besar, akan tetapi pada proses pengiriman masih ditemukan keterlambatan pengiriman yang menyebabkan hilangnya kesempatan memperoleh keuntungan (loss opportunity), ditolak (rejected), bahkan memutuskan kontrak antara kedua belah pihak (penalty). Selama ini perusahaan masih menggunakan satu jenis alternatif rute dan moda transportasi, sehingga hal tersebut menjadi penyebab utama keterlambatan pengiriman. Pada proses pengiriman ekspor udang beku terdapat standar pengiriman yakni 14 hari sesuai dengan kesepakatan bersama antara pihak perusahaan dengan customer. Namun berdasarkan kondisi eksisting proses pengiriman menggunakan petikemas berpendingin (reefer container) dengan ukuran 20 feet dari Gresik ke Tokyo membutuhkan waktu ±19 hari. Variabel yang penting untuk diperhatikan adalah potensi adanya tarif pelayaran dan waktu transit muatan di pelabuhan yang akan berpengaruh terhadap total biaya dan waktu pengiriman. Terkait hal ini, penggunaan metode optimasi dengan kriteria biaya minimum dan batasan waktu yang optimal dapat diketahui rute dan moda transportasi paling optimal yaitu dari Gresik ke TPS menggunakan truk petikemas, sedangkan dari TPS ke pelabuhan transit di Hongkong lalu ke Tokyo tetap menggunakan kapal petikemas. Waktu total yang dibutuhkan 13,44 hari menggunakan shipping line Yang Ming dengan biaya total yang dikeluarkan adlah Rp 30.407.345.
