Abstract

Investasi telah memberikan keuntungan bagi banyak masyarakat termasuk negara. Dengan berinvestasi di pasar modal artinya memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara melalui instrumen penanaman modal pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia. Bursa efek indonesia memberikan kesempatan bagi seluruh masyarakat maupun kalangan mahasiswa untuk memulai berinvestasi dipasar modal, melalui berbagai instrumen investasi seperti saham, obligasi, reksadana, deposito dan sebagainya. Dengan memiliki pemahaman tenang investasi setiap calon investor dapat mengetahui keuntungan, risiko dan instrumen yang digunakan. Akan tetapi masih banyak masyarakat maupun mahasiswa yang berpandangan bahwa instrumen investasi saham merupakan sebuah judi atau binary option karena tidak memiliki bentuk fisik yang diperoleh, hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan tentang investasi saham di pasar modal indonesia. Studi penelitian ini menambah pengetahuan terkait investasi, return investasi, dan persepsi risiko dalam keputusan investasi saham. Populasi yang digunakan yaitu populasi mahasiswa Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis dari Universitas di wilayah Jawa Timur. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan data primer dari membagikan kuesioner dengan metode purposive sampling non-probability yakni teknik analisis data melalui aplikasi Smart Pls.
